Our story

We built Together because we lived it.

It started late one night online. I hopped onto servers halfway across the world, met a stranger, and we played until sunrise. One night turned into two, then three, then weeks. Somewhere in all those hours, playing together quietly turned into falling for each other.

But there were nine hours between us. For a while I’d stay up until 4 or 5 in the morning just to share the same screen. Once real life filled our days, our time together shrank to sleepy mornings and stolen late nights, and it never felt like enough.

So we built Together: a small place to keep each other close all day long. Quick messages and updates, cute drawings, a mood to share, and a nudge that lands right on the other person’s phone. A tiny “hey, I miss you.

What is Together?

Together is a free iPhone and iPad app for long-distance couples. It shows your partner's local time and the hours between you, counts down to your next visit, and gives the two of you a private space for a daily photo, notes, doodles, songs and games. It's made by a long-distance couple.

Is Together free?

Yes. Together is free to download and use every day. The optional Together Plus subscription keeps every photo in full quality and your whole journal, and one subscription covers both partners. It's billed by Apple and you can cancel any time.

Does Together help with time zones?

Yes, it's built for it. Your partner's local time, the hours between you and whether it's morning or night for them sit at the top of the app and on your widgets, so you know when to say good morning or goodnight without doing the maths.

What can long-distance couples do in Together?

Share one photo a day each and grow a streak, send notes, songs and doodles, reveal a weekly gratitude to each other, count down to your next visit, keep shared lists like a bucket list or watchlist, and play turn-based games such as Draw & guess and a Know-me quiz. Home and Lock Screen widgets keep them with you all day.

Can we play games together in different time zones?

Yes. Games in the Play tab are turn-based, so you never need to be awake at the same time. On a FaceTime call you can also play live with SharePlay.

Do we both need an iPhone?

Yes. Together is an app for iPhone and iPad and needs iOS 26 or later. You each install it, sign in with Apple and connect with an invite.

Is my location private?

Yes. Sharing your distance is optional, and when it's on your location is end-to-end encrypted on your device before it leaves it. Only your partner's device can read it; we can't. See the privacy policy for everything we store.
