Terms of Service

The agreement for using Together: your account, subscriptions, your content, and the legal essentials, in plain-enough English to actually read.

Last updated July 27, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Together (“Together”, “we”, “us”) governing your use of the Together app and related services (the “Service”). Please also read our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

By downloading, accessing, or using Together, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Together, and old enough to form a binding contract. Together is designed for adults in a relationship; if you are a minor, you may use it only with the consent of a parent or guardian.

2. Your account

  • You sign in using Sign in with Apple. You're responsible for maintaining access to your Apple ID and for activity that happens under your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate information (such as your display name) and to keep it current.
  • Notify us at hello@try-together.app if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. The Service & connections

  • Together lets two people form a connection and share moments, moods, status, notes, dedications, calendar events, drawings, and, if enabled, encrypted location.
  • A connection involves another person. You're responsible for who you connect with and what you choose to share. We are not responsible for the conduct of your partner or for content they share with you.
  • Features may change, and we may add, modify, or remove features over time.

4. Subscriptions & purchases

Together offers Together Plus, an auto-renewable subscription (available as monthly or annual options), and may offer other purchases such as a one-time Advanced Drawing unlock. All purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. The following applies to auto-renewable subscriptions:

  • Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Auto-renewal. Your subscription automatically renews for the same period and price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Renewal charge. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
  • Managing & cancelling. You can manage or cancel your subscription, or turn off auto-renew, in your Apple ID Account Settings at any time after purchase. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not retroactively refund the current period.
  • Couple-wide. A Together Plus subscription unlocks Plus features for both partners in your connection. One active subscription covers the couple.
  • Free trials and offers (if any): unused portions of a free trial are forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
  • Prices are shown in the app and may vary by region and over time. We may change prices prospectively; changes won't affect a billing period you've already paid for.

Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with the App Store's policies. We generally cannot grant refunds directly; please request them through Apple.

If the actual subscription terms presented in the app differ from this section, the terms shown at the point of purchase control.

5. Your content

  • You own your content. Photos, drawings, notes, dedications, and other content you create remain yours.
  • License to operate the Service. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, and display your content solely to operate and provide the Service to you and your connected partner. We do not use your content for advertising and do not claim ownership of it.
  • End-to-end encrypted data. Location shared via the Distance feature is end-to-end encrypted; we cannot read it and do not access its contents.
  • Responsibility. You are responsible for the content you share and confirm you have the right to share it. Don't share content you don't have the rights to, or that violates someone else's rights.
  • Profile pictures and likeness. In Together, your profile picture is chosen by your partner and theirs is chosen by you. When you set a picture for your partner, you confirm you have the right to use that image and that your partner consents to your using their likeness this way. Choose something they would be happy to be seen as.
  • Right to remove your own picture. Whoever a picture depicts may remove it from their own profile at any time, without the other partner's agreement. We will not add a way to override or prevent this.

Feedback. Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you submit are non-confidential, and you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use them to operate and improve the Service, with no obligation to you.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for anything unlawful, harmful, harassing, abusive, or non-consensual.
  • Upload content that is illegal, infringing, or that you don't have the right to share.
  • Attempt to access another user's data without authorization, or use the Service to surveil or harm another person.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, interfere with, overload, or attempt to circumvent security or rate limits of the Service, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law.
  • Use automated means to access the Service or resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit it without our permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe create risk or legal exposure.

7. Reporting content & moderation

Together is a private space shared between two connected people — there is no public feed and nothing you share is visible to other users. Even so, content is created by people rather than by us, so there is a way to report it and a person who reviews it.

How to report. Open your profile picture in the app — press and hold your own photo on the Home screen and choose See the photo they chose, or go to Settings → Photos → See it up close — then choose Report this photo from the menu. Reports are not shown to the person you're reporting. To report anything else, email us at hello@try-together.app and we'll treat it the same way.

What we do. Reports go to a moderation queue reviewed by our team. We are a very small team across different time zones, so a report usually gets a look within a couple of days; anything that looks urgent we prioritise. Where content breaches these Terms we remove it permanently, and we may suspend or terminate the account responsible. Removals made by our team are recorded in an internal audit log.

Removing things yourself. You don't need to file a report to take down a profile picture of yourself — you can remove it in the app immediately, and it is deleted. Reporting is for content that shouldn't exist at all, and it reaches a human.

Ending a connection. If you no longer wish to share anything with your partner, you can delete your account in Settings → Account, which ends the connection immediately. To report abuse outside the app, email hello@try-together.app.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and how we use and share it.

9. Intellectual property

The Together app, its design, branding, and software are owned by Together and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose, subject to these Terms (and, for the App Store version, the Apple terms below). We reserve all rights not expressly granted.

10. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties including Apple (authentication, payments, notifications) and music providers (such as Apple Music, Spotify) used for song search. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from within the app (Settings → Account → Delete account) or by contacting us. Deleting your account ends your connection (your partner keeps their own account), and your shared relationship content is archived for up to 30 days and then permanently deleted. Deleting your account does not cancel an active Together Plus subscription, which must be managed through Apple.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as content licenses already exercised, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT CONTENT (INCLUDING LOCATION) WILL ALWAYS BE ACCURATE OR DELIVERED. SOME JURISDICTIONS DON'T ALLOW CERTAIN DISCLAIMERS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TOGETHER AND ITS SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD 50. SOME JURISDICTIONS DON'T ALLOW THESE LIMITATIONS, SO THEY MAY NOT FULLY APPLY TO YOU.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Together from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or others' rights, to the extent permitted by law.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll revise the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice (such as in-app). Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Sweden, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

17. Apple App Store terms

The following applies because you obtained Together through Apple's App Store. These Terms are between you and Together only, not with Apple. To the extent they conflict with Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, the relevant Apple terms control for the App Store version.

  • Scope. Your license to use Together is a non-transferable license to use it on any Apple-branded device you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
  • Maintenance & support. Together, not Apple, is solely responsible for support and maintenance of the app.
  • Warranty. Together, not Apple, is responsible for any product warranties, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); Apple has no other warranty obligation.
  • Product & legal claims. Together, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product-liability, regulatory, or intellectual-property claims.
  • Legal compliance. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as “terrorist supporting,” and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
  • Contact. Direct any questions, complaints, or claims about the app to Together at hello@try-together.app.
